The semi-autobiographical coming-of-age dramedy "Mid90s" marks Jonah Hill's directorial debut. Hill also wrote the script, based on his own experiences growing up in the 1990s.

The story follows Stevie (Sunny Suljic), a thirteen-year-old in 90s-era LA who spends his summer navigating between his troubled home life and a group of new friends that he meets at a Motor Avenue skate shop. The film also stars Lucas Hedges, Na-kel Smith, Gio Galicia, Olan Prenatt and Katherine Waterston.

"Mid90s" premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and opened in select theaters on October 19, 2018. The film has received generally positive reviews from critics.
