NBC's "Emerald City" is a darker, grittier reboot of "Wizard of Oz" that reimagines Dorothy (Adria Arjona) as a 20-years-old cop and her canine companion, Toto, a fierce K9 police dog. A tornado transports Dorothy from Kansas to the land of Oz where she sets off a prophecy and she must travel to the Emerald City to meet the legendary Wizard (Vincent D'Onofrio).
The show's 10 episodes are directed by Tarsem Singh ("The Cell") and the cast also includes Joely Richardson, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Ana Ularu, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Florence Kasumba, Isabel Lucas and Gerran Howell.
"Emerald City" will start off with a two-hour premiere tonight.

This is the fabled Land of Oz in a way you've never seen it before, where lethal warriors roam, wicked witches plot in the shadows and a young girl from Kansas becomes a headstrong heroine who holds the fate of their world in her hands.
