A Tale of Love and Darkness Image

Product Description: A Tale of Love and Darkness is a 2015 Israeli drama and the first feature film directed by Natalie Portman (Black Swan, Thor). Based on the autobiographical novel of the same name by Amos Oz, A Tale of Love and Darkness stars Natalie Portman as Amos' mother, Fania, who struggles with her son in post-war Jerusalem during the last years of Mandatory Palestine and the first years of Israeli independence. The moving, somber score was lovingly composed by piano virtuoso and frequent Portman collaborator Nicholas Britell (The Big Short, 12 Years A Slave).
