Product Description: Blood Blockade Battlefront is a Japanese manga by Yasuhiro Nightow. The series follows a young photographer named Leonardo Watch, who obtains 'the All Seeing Eyes of the Gods' at the cost of his sister's eyesight. After the incident, Leonardo moves to the city of Hellsalem's Lot to join an organization known as Libra to fight monsters as well as terrorists. The manga was adapted into an anime television series produced by Studio Bones and directed by Rie Matsumoto. It is available in the USA through Funimation Entertainment (the largest distributor of Japanese animation in North America) which is releasing the DVD on August 16, 2016. Blood Blockade Battlefront has been acclaimed for the strength of its soundtrack. The album features the jazz, hip hop driven score by series composer Taisei Iwasaki and a selection of songs produced exclusively for the show. The soundtrack to the show has often been compared to Cowboy Bebop in its quality and originality.
