The cast already includes Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Robin Wright, Dave Bautista, Ana de Armas, Slyvia Hoeks and Carla Juri. Director Denis Villeneuve will direct and he will reunite with "Prisoners" and "Sicario" cinematographer Roger Deakins.
Not much is known about the story except that Ford will reprise the role of Rick Deckard and it will take place several decades after the events of the original film. Production is set to begin in July.
"Blade Runner 2" will be released on October 6, 2017.
