The time has come for "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" to pass the crown. This weekend, the charts were topped by Ridley Scott's somewhat controversial Biblical epic "Exodus: Gods and Kings". The film grossed $24.5 million over a pretty quiet weekend and managed to secure an additional $49.8 million from foreign markets. However, the film's expensive pricetag ($140 million), also means that it will have to keep performing well over the next few week.

This weekend's other major release, Chris Rock's debut as a writer and director, "Top Five", opened in fourth place with $7.2 million from 979 theaters. The film will continue to expand in more locations and the positive buzz could built it up into a box-office hit.

New Wide Releases: "Exodus: Gods and Kings", "Top Five".

Biggest Drop : "Horrible Bosses 2" (-45%)

Smallest Drop : "The Theory of Everything" (-4.6%)
