The first trailer and poster for the true story drama "Kill the Messenger" have been released. The film stars Jeremy Renner as Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Gary Webb, who becomes the target of a vicious smear campaign when he exposes the CIA's role in arming Contra rebels in Nicaragua and importing cocaine into California. Michael Cuesta ("Homeland") directed from a script by Peter Landesman ("Parkland"), which is based on Webb's book "Dark Alliance" and Nick Schou's "Kill the Messenger". Rosemarie DeWitt, Ray Liotta, Barry Pepper, Michael Sheen, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Oliver Platt, Andy Garcia, Tim Blake Nelson, Robert Patrick, Michael Kenneth Williams and Paz Vega also star.
