Keira Knightley has signed on for director Baltasar Kormakur's ("2 Guns") true story drama "Everest". The film focuses on two rival expeditions caught in a blizzard on the mountain, and Knightley will play "Jan Arnold, widow of climber Rob Hall, who conquered the mountain five times." Kormakur has been filming for one month, already, in Nepal and the Italian Alps, and the film is currently in post-production. Knightley will be shooting her scenes at Pinewood Studios and around the Home Counties. The film also stars Jason Clarke, Josh Brolin, John Hawkes, Jake Gyllenhaal, Martin Henderson, Emily Watson, Michael Kelly, Thomas M. Wright, Sam Worthington and Robin Wright. Shot in 3D and IMAX 3D, "Everest" will be released in theaters on September 18, 2015.
