A new surprise addition to the cast of "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" has been announced. Actor Chris Cooper will star in the sequel as Norman Osborn, previously played by Willem Dafoe in Sam Raimi's version of Spider-Man. Osborn, in Marc Webb's series will first become mentor to Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) and will later on become the Green Goblin, but it's unclear if the transformation will occur in this film or the next sequel. Dane DeHaan ("Chronicle") will play Harry, Osborne's son and Peter's friend. Other new characters in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" include Electro (Jamie Foxx), Rhino (Paul Giamatti) and Mary Jane (Shailene Woodley). Felicity Jones has also been cast in an unspecified role. The sequel opens on May 2, 2014, in 3D.
