Well, it's not really as exciting as it sounds in the title. I might have exaggerated a bit. Anthony Hopkins is in negotiations to star in the movie
"Solace" and he will play a doctor with psychic abilities who is helping the FBI capture dangerous serial killers. It's disappointing in way, because I suppose we won't be seeing the menacing Hopkins that we love from movies like
"Silence of the Lambs",
"Fracture", or
"The Rite". The script was originally penned by Sean Bailey and Ted Griffin (
"Ocean's Eleven",
"Matchstick Men") and subsequently rewritten by James Vanderbilt (
"Zodiac") and Peter Morgan (
"The Queen",
"Hereafter"). I don't usually condone the rewrite process, but in this case, some big names have been assigned to it, so I'm going to look the other way just this once.
"Solace" begins filming sometime next year and is expected to be released in 2014, so wait we shall.
