Official Synopsis : Shia LaBeouf returns as Sam Witwicky in Transformers: Dark of the Moon. When a mysterious event from Earth's past erupts into the present day it threatens to bring a war to Earth so big that the Transformers alone will not be able to save us. -- (C) Paramount
What to Expect : Brutal, headache-inducing, in-your-face 3D alien robot destruction derby, directed by Michael Bay. Not much difference from the first two installments. Still loud, still too much pointless plot, still can't tell the robots apart. You won't even miss Megan Fox, because they've found another model/actress to play the pretty girlfriend who stares into the camera like she has X-Ray vision or something. Supposedly this is the end of the trilogy, but you know how it goes, there's always room for a quadrilogy, or a second trilogy.
Critical Response : Mixed to negative. The obvious complaints were related to the long running time (2 and 1/2 hours), the confusing robot battles (series trademark), annoying characters and the dumb moments squeezed in-between moments of total destruction. Reviewers agreed that the visual effects are impressive and the action sequences are thrilling, but that's about it. 38% fresh on Rottentomatoes.com from 69 positive and 115 negatve reviews
