The third season of the crime drama series "Queen of the South" premieres tonight on the USA Network at 9p. Created by M.A. Fortin and Joshua John Miller, the show is based on the Telemundo telenovela "La Reina del Sur", which was adapted from the novel of the same name by Arturo Perez-Reverte.

Alice Braga stars as Teresa Mendoza, a woman who is forced to run from the Mexican cartel and seek refuge in America following the death of her drug-runner boyfriend. The new seasons finds her trying to build her own drug empire, while her enemies want to stop her.

The series also stars Peter Gadiot, Veronica Falcon, Joaquim de Almeida, Hemky Madera and Jon-Michael Ecker.
