Based on the 2006 Japanese film of the same name, the teen romance "Midnight Sun" stars Bella Thorne as a 17-year-old girl who suffers from a condition called "xeroderma pigmentosum" that prevents her from being out in the sunlight. One night, her dreams come true when she's noticed and asked out by her longtime crush (Patrick Schwarzenegger), whom she's secretly watched from her bedroom window for years.

The film is directed by Scott Speer ("Step Up Revolution") and also stars Rob Riggle, Quinn Shephard, Ken Trebmlett and Suleka Mathew.

"Midnight Sun" opened in theaters on March 23, 2018 and received mostly negative reviews from critics. It opened with $4 million at the box-office.

Having only her father Jack (Rob Riggle) for company, Katie's world opens up after dark when she ventures outside to play her guitar. One night, her dreams come true when she's noticed and asked out by her longtime crush Charlie (Patrick Schwarzenegger), whom she's secretly watched from her bedroom window for years.
