"The Little Hours" is a comedy written and directed by Jeff Baena ("Life After Beth") based on the first tale of the third day from Giovanni Boccaccio's collection of novelas "The Decameron".

Set in the Middle Ages, the film stars Dave Franco as a young servant who is forced to flee from his master (Nick Offerman) and takes refuge at a convent full of the nastiest nuns you will ever see (played by Alison Brie, Kate Micucci, Aubrey Plaza, Jemima Kirke, Lauren Weedman and Molly Shannon). Introduced as a deaf mute, the young man must protect his cover, while the nuns try to resist temptation (and fail).

The cast also includes John C. Reilly, Fred Armisen, Paul Reiser, Adam Pally and Paul Witz.

"The Little Hours" premiered at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival in January, 2017 and opened in limited release on June 30th.

Their days are spent chafing at monastic routine, spying on one another, and berating the estate's day laborer.
