The controversial documentary "The Putin Interviews" airs the first of four parts tonight on Showtime at 9p and will continue airing in consecutive nights. The documentary features a series of interviews between Academy Award-winning filmmaker Oliver Stone ("Platoon", "JFK") and Russian president Vladimir Putin about divisive issues related to the US-Russia relations.

The interviews were conducted over a period of two years in various locations in Russia, including the Kremlin and Putin's official residence in Moscow. This is the second collaboration between Stone and Showtime, following the 2012 documentary series "The Untold History of the United States".
