Product Description: Deep Purple are one of the most influential British rock bands of all time. With 120 million albums sold worldwide, they are one of the most loved British bands of all time. Recently inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame, they have inspired and shaped the taste of generations of hard rock musicians and fans with milestone albums like "In Rock" or "Machine Head" which are essential chapters in rock music history. Their live album "Made in Japan" is often referred as one of the best (if not "the best" live album of all times).
"NOW What?!", released in 2013, brought Deep Purple back to the top of the charts worldwide. The tour that followed sold over a million tickets worldwide. Ian Gillan, Roger Glover and Ian Paice are the three members from the current line-up who have been part of the band since it's "Mark II" version, the one that is considered the "absolute classic".
The current line-up of the band is completed by Don Airey (about to release his 4th album with the band) and Steve Morse (who has been in the band for over 20 years, about to release his 6th studio albums with Deep Purple). With "inFinite" and the associated "The Long Goodbye" tour, Deep Purple are approaching a turning point. Is the band about to write the final chapter of its career?
As a natural follow up to the worldwide success of "NOW What?!", "inFinite" has once again been produced by Bob Ezrin who has formed with the five members of Deep Purple, an explosive songwriting team. "InFinite" is possibly the most "seventies" of all Deep Purple albums released since the 1984 reunion with "Perfect Strangers". Ezrin and Deep Purple have managed to capture the purest Purple classic sound while staying well away from the temptation to be nostalgic or to "play themselves". On the contrary the band shows the tranquillity to not care about delivering short songs or to limit the long solos and the moments of improvisation. Just as when the story started, in an ideal cycle that comes to completion. From "in Rock" to "in-finite". Possibly destined to end, but still terribly good.
The end, the allusion of the band's forthcoming tour name, a theme recurring in the songs and surely something that the band will be asked about. If this is really the farewell album by Deep Purple, there could not be a better one, or are they once again making fun of everybody?
"Deep Purple's progressive album" - it's what a critic said after a recent private playback of the album. "We are an instrumental jazz band, with somebody occasionally singing on it," was Ian Gillan's reply. If this is the case, guitars haven't been harder for a jazz band, "inFinite" in fact shows also a side of Steve Morse that not everybody was expecting, melodic, raw, close to the roots of the blues rock.
"InFinite" is heavy and delicate at the same time, with an inspired Ian Gillan who is totally free from the duty to sound as people expect, delivering a versatile and exciting vocal performance during the whole album.

Product Description: The LACS career trajectory accelerates with every new album and every new beat. Staying steadfastly true to who they are, the new studio album, American Rebelution, is a 12 pack of party anthems with a fresh take on what they know best.
Southern rock-infused guitar riffs combined with acoustic country offerings make up American Rebelution. Crossing over into country's mainstream, the LACS team up with Country Super Star Duo and Grand Ole Opry members Montgomery Gentry on the standout smash hit "Jack in Her Coke." Other highlights on the album include the get-ready-for-summer-fun song, "Lake Somewhere," "Her Way," featuring tour mates Hard Target, and "My Kinfolks," which shows the same Southern hometown pride as their fans.

Product Description: The Far Field refines and builds on the breakthroughs of the Baltimore-based trio’s 2014 album Singles, bursting with undeniable hooks and disarmingly honest lyrics written by Samuel T. Herring (vocals, lyrics), William Cashion (bass, guitars) and Gerrit Whelmers (keyboards, programming). After the success of Singles and the hundreds of Future Islands shows played in that period, the band began writing new material on the coast of North Carolina, and continued throughout the year in Baltimore before road-testing these songs at a series of secret shows under fake names. Later that year, they traveled to Los Angeles to record with Grammy Award-winning producer John Congleton at the legendary Sunset Sound, where everyone from The Beach Boys to Prince have laid down masterpieces. With string and horn arrangements by Patrick McMinn, The Far Field is the first Future Islands record to feature live drums by Michael Lowry, who joined the band prior to their sensational performance of “Seasons (Waiting On You)” on David Letterman’s late night TV show. Blondie’s Debbie Harry also makes a guest appearance, in a duet with Herring on penultimate track “Shadows.” Across The Far Field’s twelve chest-pounding love songs and odes to the road, Future Islands brilliantly expresses the band’s central themes they’ve been exploring for the last decade: that there is power in emotional vulnerability, that one can find a way to laugh and cry in the same breath – and be stronger for it. “This is the kind of band that makes you wish other bands tried harder.” - Pitchfork “An absolute and unqualified triumph” -Stereogum “Mournful, triumphant, heroic” -Complex

Product Description: LA Divine, Cold War Kids most expansive and ambitious effort so far, pays tribute to Los Angeles in all its strange glory, embodying the Long Beach-bred band s endless fascination with their adopted hometown. In many ways, LA is the least divine city, the most hedonistic and irreverent and disconnected from history, says Willett. LA s so massive, I feel like I m always finding something new in it, adds bassist Matt Maust. It s an incredibly weird place, and I m happy to have made an album that totally honors that weirdness.

Product Description: Pure Comedy, Father John Misty’s third album, is a complex, often-sardonic, and, equally often, touching meditation on the confounding folly of modern humanity. Father John Misty is the brainchild of singer-songwriter Josh Tillman. Tillman has released two widely acclaimed albums – Fear Fun (2012) and I Love You, Honeybear (2015) – and the recent “Real Love Baby” single as Father John Misty, and recently contributed to songs by Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, and Kid Cudi. While we could say a lot about Pure Comedy – including that it is a bold, important album in the tradition of American songwriting greats like Harry Nilsson, Randy Newman, and Leonard Cohen – we think it’s best to let its creator describe it himself. Take it away, Mr. Tillman: Pure Comedy is the story of a species born with a half-formed brain. The species’ only hope for survival, finding itself on a cruel, unpredictable rock surrounded by other species who seem far more adept at this whole thing (and to whom they are delicious), is the reliance on other, slightly older, half-formed brains. This reliance takes on a few different names as their story unfolds, like “love,” “culture,” “family,” etc. Over time, and as their brains prove to be remarkably good at inventing meaning where there is none, the species becomes the purveyor of increasingly bizarre and sophisticated ironies. These ironies are designed to help cope with the species’ loathsome vulnerability and to try and reconcile how disproportionate their imagination is to the monotony of their existence. Something like that. Pure Comedy was recorded in 2016 at the legendary United Studios (Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Beck) in Hollywood, CA. It was produced by Father John Misty and Jonathan Wilson, with engineering by Misty’s longtime sound-person Trevor Spencer and orchestral arrangements by renowned composer/double-bassist Gavin Bryars (known for extensive solo work, and work with Brian Eno, Tom Waits, Derek Bailey).

Product Description: Nonesuch Records releases an album of Bach works recorded by cellist Yo-Yo Ma, mandolinist Chris Thile, and bassist Edgar Meyer, Bach Trios, on April 7, 2017, with the two-LP vinyl edition due April 21. The album comprises works by J.S. Bach originally written for keyboard instruments, plus one sonata for viola da gamba. In 2011, Ma, Thile, and Meyer—along with Stuart Duncan—collaborated on The Goat Rodeo Sessions, which won two Grammy Awards.
Yo-Yo Ma and Edgar Meyer's first recording together was the 1996 album Appalachia Waltz, which also featured fiddler Mark O'Connor; that album was followed by Appalachian Journey, also with O'Connor, in 2000. Meyer and Thile also began playing together nearly two decades ago, and first performed live as a duo in 2003. They have made two duo albums, 2008's Edgar Meyer & Chris Thile and the Grammy–winning 2014 record Bass & Mandolin.
Thile then joined Meyer on Ma's 2008 holiday album, Songs of Joy and Peace, before the trio reunited, along with Stuart Duncan, for The Goat Rodeo Sessions, an album of original tunes drawing from the musicians' backgrounds in bluegrass, classical, and American roots music. The Goat Rodeo Sessions debuted at number twenty-three on the Billboard 200 chart and number one on the classical and classical crossover charts, as well as number one on the bluegrass chart, where it stayed for eleven weeks. The album was also critically praised, with the Los Angeles Times calling it "haunting, invigorating, often breathtaking."
As Ma told Billboard at that time: "How often do you work with people who are master virtuosos and also master improvisers and composers, who know at least two musical traditions unbelievably well?" He continued, "It's just extraordinary when you have people who can actually show on their instruments what they're thinking at any moment, without a delay. As soon as you think it, it gets transferred in your neuromusculature immediately into sound."
The New York Times said of Yo-Yo Ma, who is considered one of today's foremost interpreters of Bach, "Other cellists hear Bach's suites the same as Mr. Ma, but few if any have the technical means to transfer their imaginings so precisely into sound." Ma maintains a balance between his engagements as soloist with orchestras worldwide and his recital and chamber music activities. His discography includes more than one hundred albums, eighteen of which have won Grammy Awards. Ma also serves as the Artistic Director of Silkroad, an organization he founded to promote cross-cultural performance and collaborations. More than eighty works have been commissioned specifically for the Silk Road Ensemble, which tours annually. Ma also serves as the Judson and Joyce Green Creative Consultant to the Chicago Symphony Orchestra's Negaunee Music Institute and in 2016 was appointed Artistic Advisor to the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
