"King Arthur: Legend of the Sword" is a reimagining of the titular character's legendary tale. Directed by Guy Ritchie ("Sherlock Holmes"), the film stars Charlie Hunnam as Arthur, who has been robbed of his birthright and now runs the back passages of Londonium with his crew. His royal lineage is immediately confirmed when he draws the sword Excalibur from the stone. Using the sword's powers, he joins the rebellion against his tyrannical uncle Vortigern (Jude Law) to reclaim his true legacy.
The film also stars Astrid Bergès-Frisbey, Katie McGrath, Annabelle Wallis, Eric Bana, Djimon Hounsou, Aidan Gillen and Hermione Corfield.
"King Arthur: Legend of the Sword" opens in theaters on May 12, 2017.

The film is produced by Oscar winner Akiva Goldsman, Joby Harold, Tory Tunnell, Lionel Wigram, Guy Ritchie and Steve Clark-Hall. David Dobkin and Bruce Berman are executive producers. Warner Bros. Pictures presents, in association with Village Roadshow Pictures, a Weed Road/Safehouse Pictures Production, a Ritchie/Wigram Production. Slated for release on March 24, 2017, the film will be distributed in North America by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company, and in select territories by Village Roadshow Pictures."
