"Sea of Thieves" is an upcoming high-seas sandbox adventure developed by Rare and published by Microsoft Studios that will give players the opportunity to craft their own custom stories with the help of in-game tools in a completely open world multiplayer environment.
The making of videos are part of an ongoing series in which the game's developers talk about what the game is all about, the priorities for building and launching the game on Windows 10 in addition to Xbox One, and what went into creating the incredible water effects.

"Sea of Thieves" is due to launch early 2017 on PC and Xbox One as a Microsoft cross-buy Play Anywhere release.
