Created by Ava DuVernay ("Selma") and Oprah Winfrey, the new drama seriers "Queen Sugar" follows follows the life of two sisters, Nova Bordelon (Rutina Wesley) and Charley Bordelon (Dawn-Lyen Gardner), who, with her teenage son Micah (Nicholas L. Ashe) moves to the heart of Louisiana to claim an inheritance from her recently departed father - an 800-acre sugarcane farm.
The cast also includes Kofi Siriboe, Tina Lifford, Timon Kyle Durrett and Dondre Whitfield.
"Queen Sugar" will premiere on the Oprah Winfrey Network on September 6th.
