2016 WGA Winners Announced

The winners of this year's WGA awards have been announced. The Writers Guild of America chose "Spotlight" and "The Big Short" for Best Original Screenplay and Best Adapted Screenplay, respectively. Two major films, however did not compete. "The Hateful Eight" and "Room" were deemed ineligible according to the WGA's rules. In the TV categories the top winners include "Mad Men", "Veep", "Mr. Robot", "Better Call Saul" and "Silicon Valley".
