8 New Clips for THE HATEFUL EIGHT

Today we have eight new clips for Quentin Tarantino's new film "The Hateful Eight", which is now in theaters. Reviews have been generous to Tarantino's western, which is not unusual, although the average rating is somewhat smaller than that of his other films. The humor and over-the-top violence are all there and the cast is amazing, so it's a must-see.

The film stars Kurt Russell, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Samuel L. Jackson, Walton Goggins, Tim Roth, Demian Bichir, Bruce Dern, Michael Madsen, Zoë Bell, James Parks and Channing Tatum.

"The Hateful Eight" opens in theaters on December 25th.

ANOMALISA Trailer, Featurette, Images and Posters

The stop-motion animation feature "Anomalisa" is now in theaters, so here are the official trailer, a featurette, forty-two images and two posters. Written and co-directed by Charlie Kaufman alongside Duke Johnson, the film tells the story of a man who struggles with his inability to connect with other people and it features the voices of David Thewlis, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Tom Noonan. The film is nominated for Best Animated Motion Picture at the 2016 Golden Globes Awards.

KUBO AND THE TWO STRINGS Teaser Trailer and Poster

Laika Studios have released the teaser trailer and poster for their new animated feature "Kubo and the Two Strings".

The film tells the story of Kubo, a clever, kindhearted young boy who accidentally summons a mythical spirit from his past which storms down from the heavens to enforce an age-old vendetta.

Directed by Travis Knight, the film features the voices of Art Parkinson, Matthew McConaughey, Charlize Theron, Rooney Mara, Ralph Fiennes, George Takei, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, Minae Noji and Brenda Vaccaro.

"Kubo and the Two Strings" opens in theaters on August 19, 2016.

Box-Office: FORCE AWAKENS Breaks More Records; DADDY'S HOME Defies Expectations

It was easy to anticipate that "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" would hold on at the top and that it would probably break more records, but the OverAchiever of the Week Award goes to the comedy "Daddy's Home" which managed to break out into second place with an impressive result, while other new releases struggled within expectations.

In Theaters: CONCUSSION, DADDY'S HOME, JOY, POINT BREAK

With "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" already out, there aren't many equally spectacular new releases in December. So, it's time to bring out the Oscar bait flicks. This week in theaters we have awards hopefuls "Joy" starring Jennifer Lawrence and "Concussion" starring Will Smith, both leads nominated for the 2016 Golden Globes. With the awards out of the way, we also have the comedy "Daddy's Home" starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg, as well as the action thriller remake "Point Break". POINT BREAK (2015) - 7 Clips and 57 Pictures

The "Point Break" remake is now in theaters, so here are seven new clips and a huge batch of fifty-seven images from the film.

The remake has been slammed by critics for being an unimaginative update that amplifies the stunts and action sequences but is otherwise devoid of genuine thrills and lacks pretty much everything that made the original a great thriller. It feels more like a remake of "The Fast and the Furious", which in turn was an unofficial "Point Break" remake of sorts. In fact, some critics even admitted that the first installment in the "Fast & Furious" franchise was a more fitting remake than this one.

Directed by Ericson Core, the film stars Edgar Ramirez, Luke Bracey, Ray Winstone, Teresa Palmer and Delroy Lindo.

4 New Clips from CONCUSSION Starring Will Smith

Four new clips for the true story drama "Concussion" have been released.

The story of Dr. Bennet Omalu's (Will Smith) battle with the NFL has been received with generally mixed reviews by critics. While Smith offers another solid performance in the lead and the subject is timely and controversial, the execution is nothing we haven't seen before and sometimes it plays it too safe. Still, for the subject alone, it's worth a watch.

Directed by Peter Landesman ("Parkland"), the film also stars Alec Baldwin, Luke Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Arliss Howard, Paul Reiser, David Morse and Albert Brooks.

"Concussion" is now in theaters.

DADDY'S HOME - 6 Clips and 12 Pictures

The comedy "Daddy's Home" has ben released in theaters and we have a batch of six clips and twelve new images

Even with the consistent comedic chemistry that Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg still have, the film has been receiving mostly mixed reviews. As usual, the film lacks the emotional or imaginative resources to expand on the promising premise, leaving the cast to do the best they can with what they're given.

Directed by Sean Anders ("Horrible Bosses 2"), the film also stars Linda Cardellini, Alessandra Ambrosio, Paul Scheer and Thomas Haden Church.

JOY - 10 Clips and 9 New Images Featuring Jennifer Lawrence

David O. Russell's biopic "Joy" is now in theaters, so here are ten new clips and nine images.

The film is a chronicle of inventor entrepreneur Joy Mangano (Jennifer Lawrence), but the film itself is apparently low on innovation. Critics have been disappointed in the film's execution which only sporadically affords moments of genuine emotion as O'Russell fails to find the right tone. Many have labeled it a misfire, but with two Golden Globe nominations in the bag, it's a still a decent achievement.

The cast also includes Bradley Cooper, Robert De Niro, Edgar Ramirez, Diane Ladd, Virginia Madsen, Isabella Rossellini and Elisabeth Röhm.

New DEADPOOL Trailers, Images and Posters

A new trailer (in green-band and red-band versions) for the upcoming "Deadpool" movie have been released online just in time for the holidays. We finally get a good look at Colossus, who is played by Serbian actor Stefan Kapicic, both in voice and motion capture. The actor replaces Andre Tricotreux, who was previously set for the role.

The film is directed by Tim Miller and it also stars Ryan Reynolds, Brianna Hildebrand, Ed Skrein, Morena Baccarin, Gina Carano, T.J. Miller and Taylor Hickson

"Deadpool" opens in theaters on February 12, 2016.

New TV Series Trailers: TWIN PEAKS, BANSHEE, POWERS, GIRLS

Today we have a batch of new trailers for both new and returning TV series:

• The first teaser trailer for David Lynch's upcoming "Twin Peaks" reboot which continues the story of the original series twenty-five years later. And, of course, Kyle MachLachlan will return as FBI Agent Dale Cooper. The show will premiere in 2017.
  
  
• A new trailer for the final season of "Banshee", which has just been delayed from January 29th to April 1st, 2016.
  
  
• A first-look trailer for the second season of "Powers", the PlayStation exclusive series starring Sharlto Copley. The season 2 cast will also include Tricia Helfer and Wil Wheaton. The new season will premiere sometime in 2016.
  
  
• The first trailer for the fifth season of "Girls". The HBO series stars Lena Dunham, Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke, Adam Driver, Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Zosia Mamet. The new season premieres on February 21, 2016.

EVERYBODY WANTS SOME Trailer and Posters

Paramount has released the first trailer and posters for the comedy "Everybody Wants Some".

Written and directed by Richard Linklater ("Boyhood"), the film is a spiritual sequel to the filmmaker's classic "Dazed and Confused" and it follows a group of college baseball players trying to deal with life in the 1980s as they navigate their way through the freedoms and responsibilities of unsupervised adulthood.

The cast features Will Brittain, Zoey Deutch, Ryan Anthony Guzman, Tyler Hoechlin, Blake Jenner, Glen Powell and Wyatt Russell.

"Everybody Wants Some" will premiere at the SXSW Film Festival in March followed by the official release in theaters on April 15, 2016.

STORKS Teaser Trailer and Poster

The first trailer and poster for the animated feature "Storks" has been released.

Directed by Nicholas Stoller ("Neighbors") and Doug Sweetland (the Oscar nominated short "Presto"), the film finally answers the question that has troubled humanity for so long: Where Do Babies Come From ?

The voice cast includes Kelsey Grammer, Andy Samberg, Jordan Peele and Keegan-Michael Key.

"Storks" opens in theaters on September 23, 2016.

11-22-63 Teaser Trailers and Images

The first teaser trailers and images for Hulu's upcoming original series "11.22.63" have been released online.

The 8-episode mini-series is based on Stephen King's 2011 novel of the same name and it stars James Franco as a high school English teacher who travels back in time to prevent the assassination of President Kennedy. Academy Award-winning Director Kevin Macdonald will direct the show's first two hours and the cast also includes Sarah Gadon, Chris Cooper, George MacKay, Josh Duhamel, Lucy Fry, Cherry Jones and Daniel Webber.

"11.22.63" premieres on Hulu February 15, 2016.

Box-Office: STAR WARS THE FORCE AWAKENS Breaks All Records

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" fulfilled Disney's prophecy and devastated the box-office with the strength of a thousand Death Stars. Or just a new bigger one. It broke all possible records, and only one may, or may not be left in contention. So it came to be that no other movie was allowed to make money over the weekend, although, somehow, "Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip" and "Sisters" managed to get some.
