THE 5TH WAVE Trailers and Posters

The first trailers and posters for "The 5th Wave" have been released. Directed by J Blakeson ("The Disappearance of Alice Creed") and based on Rick Yancey's book series, the film depicts a world devastated by an alien invasion.

The invasion unfolds in five stages, the first four of which involve taking out the world's power, tsunamis, a deadly plague and eliminating the remaining survivors. Chloe Grace Moretz stars as a teenager desperately trying to survive and save her younger brother (Zackary Arthur). In this new world she can trust no one, as the aliens have the ability to turn human bodies into hosts. She eventually teams up with another survivor (Alex Roe), as the lethal 5th wave approaches.

The cast also includes Maika Monroe, Liev Schreiber, Ron Livingston and Nick Robinson.

"The 5th Wave" opens in theaters on January 15, 2016.
