3 New THE STANFORD PRISON EXPERIMENT Clips

The Stanford Prison Experiment Movie Clips

Today we have three new clips for "The Stanford Prison Experiment".

The film is based on the true story of a 1971 experiment which took place in the basement of the Stanford psychology building and simulated a prison environment where twenty-four male students were randomly assigned roles of prisoners and guards. The goal was to study the psychological effects of prison life on both sides of the barred doors and the results have since become textbook material.

The film is directed by Kyle Patrick Alvarez ("C.O.G.") and it stars Ezra Miller, Olivia Thirlby, Billy Crudup, Tye Sheridan, Nicholas Braun, Keir Gilchrist, Michael Angarano and Thomas Mann.

"The Stanford Prison Experiment" begins a limited run in theaters today.

Official Synopsis
"In this tense, psychological thriller based on the notorious true story, Billy Crudup stars as Stanford University professor Dr. Philip Zimbardo, who, in 1971, cast 24 student volunteers as prisoners and guards in a simulated jail to examine the source of abusive behavior in the prison system. The results astonished the world, as participants went from middle-class undergrads to drunk-with-power sadists and submissive victims in just a few days. Winner of two awards at the Sundance Film Festival, including Best Screenplay, and created with the close participation of Dr. Zimbardo himself, “The Stanford Prison Experiment” features an extraordinary cast of rising young actors, including Ezra Miller, Olivia Thirlby, Tye Sheridan, Keir Gilchrist, Michael Angarano, and Thomas Mann."
