"Ex Machina" star Alicia Vikander has signed on to star in "The Circle", an adaptation of Dave Eggers' book of the same name. The story focuses on a college graduate who begins her career at a powerful company called The Circle where she also begins a relationship with the corporation's co-founder, who will be played by Tom Hanks. James Ponsoldt ("The Spectacular Now") has written the script and will also direct. Production is set to begin in California this August.
