Disney fantasy adventure "Maleficent" starring Angelina Jolie was last weekend's No. 1 movie. The film, a spin-off of Disney's classic animated feature "Sleeping Beauty", grossed $70 million in three days and an additional $100 million overseas. "X-Men: Days of Future Past" lost the top spot and dropped to second place with $32 million, bringing its domestic total to $162 million.
The R-rated western comedy "A Million Ways to Die in the West, co-written, directed by and starring Seth MacFarlane, opened in third place with a weak $17 million, a very disappointing result for the "Family Guy" creator, whose previous R-rated comedy "Ted" debuted with $54 million in 2012.
