A batch of 10 new images have been released for the sequel "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes". The images offer the first serious look at the movie, featuring both the human cast and the apes, including scenes in which the simians are using human weaponry and riding horses. It looks like a much darker movie than "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" and I guess it's not much of a spoiler to say that this doesn't end well for the humans. The new installment is directed by Matt Reeves ("Let Me In") and it stars Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke, Keri Russell, Gary Oldman, Judy Greer, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Toby Kebbell.
"Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" opens on July 11, 2014.

Official Synopsis
"A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species."
