A collection of five character posters has been released by Sony for the drama "American Hustle". The film is a fictional narrative set in the 1980s during the events of the real "Abscam" scandal, an undercover sting operation set up by a con artist working for the FBI which resulted in a huge blow against corruption in Congress. Directed by David O. Russell ("Silver Linings Playbook"), the film stars Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner, Louis C.K., Michael Pena and Jack Jones. "American Hustle" opens in theaters for a limited run on December 13th and will expand on December 25th.

"A fictional film set in the alluring world of one of the most stunning scandals to rock our nation, American Hustle tells the story of brilliant con man Irving Rosenfeld (Christian Bale), who along with his equally cunning and seductive British partner Sydney Prosser (Amy Adams) is forced to work for a wild FBI agent Richie DiMaso (Bradley Cooper). DiMaso pushes them into a world of Jersey powerbrokers and mafia that’s as dangerous as it is enchanting. Jeremy Renner is Carmine Polito, the passionate, volatile, New Jersey political operator caught between the con-artists and Feds.
