The first behind-the-scenes featurette for the new and updated version of Stephen King's "Carrie" has been released. The featurette offers some details about the remake and the original story. This new adaptation stars Chloe Grace Moretz as the shy girl outcast with telekinetic powers and Julianne Moore as her abusive mother. "Carrie" is directed by Kimberly Peirce ("Boys Don't Cry") and also stars Judy Greer, Portia Doubleday, Ansel Elgort, Alex Russell and Gabriella Wilde. The release date is October 18, 2013.

Official Synopsis
"A reimagining of the classic horror tale about Carrie White (Chloe Grace Moretz), a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother (Julianne Moore), who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom. Based on the best-selling novel by Stephen King, Carrie is directed by Kimberly Peirce with a screenplay by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa."
