Plans for "Top Gun 2" have fallen apart. Tony Scott's death has put the sequel on hold indefinitely. Screenwriter Peter Craig ("The Town") had been hired to write a draft and Tom Cruise was eager to reunite with Scott and producer Jerry Bruckheimer. But, plans for the 3D version of the original "Top Gun" are moving forward and the re-release is expected to happen in February 2013.

The "Need For Speed" film is moving forward at a rapid pace. Aaron Paul ("Breaking Bad") and Imogen Poots ("Captain America") are set to star and Dominic Cooper ("Captain America") is in talks to join the cast. The adaptation will be directed by Scott Waugh ("Act of Valor") and written by George Gatins who co-authored the story for Robert Zemeckis' "Flight". The story will center "on an underground racecar driver (Aaron Paul) who owns a garage that modifies expensive cars. Wrongly convicted but recently released from prison, he’s out for revenge on whoever framed him and killed his best friend." "Need for Speed" will be released on February 7, 2014.

An official synopsis has been released for the airplane thriller "Non-Stop", starring Liam Neeson and Julianne Moore. The film is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra ("Orphan", "Unknown"). Here is the synopsis :
"Coming off his smash hit TAKEN 2, Liam Neeson partners once again with UNKNOWN director Jaume Collet-Serra and producer Joel Silver. This time Collet-Serra goes a step further, plunging the audience into a movie that is at once a labyrinthine mystery, a high-octane action picture and a twist-filled Hitchcockian thriller where no one can be trusted and everyone is a suspect.

Bill Marks (Liam Neeson) is a burned-out veteran of the Air Marshals service. He views the assignment not as a life-saving duty, but as a desk job in the sky. However, today’s flight will be no routine trip.

Shortly into the transatlantic journey from New York to London, he receives a series of mysterious text messages ordering him to have the government transfer $150 million into a secret account, or a passenger will die very 20 minutes. What follows is a nail-biting cat and mouse game played at 40,000 feet, with the lives of 200 passengers hanging in the balance.

NON-STOP isn’t just an action film, but a 500mph rush of adrenaline, suspense and excitement."
