Critical Response : Positive. This is something I wasn't expecting, considering the current status of found-footage films isn't very encouraging because the genre has been squeezed dry of originality. This, however, is not the case with "Chronicle", a well-crafted sci-fi thriller that gives us an intelligent story as well as exciting action sequences. The script by Max Landis (son of director John Landis) provides an original plot executed with skill by director Josh Trank and it's played out by a great cast that spotlights some promising young actors. Rated 85% on Rottentomatoes.com from 76 positive and 13 negative reviews (Average score : 7.2 out of 10)
