In Theaters : BEAUTY AND THE BEAST 3D

Official Synopsis : Walt Disney Animation Studios' magical classic Beauty and the Beast returns to the big screen in Disney Digital 3D(TM), introducing a whole new generation to the Disney classic with stunning new 3D imagery. The film captures the fantastic journey of Belle (voice of Paige O'Hara), a bright and beautiful young woman who's taken prisoner by a hideous beast (voice of Robby Benson) in his castle. Despite her precarious situation, Belle befriends the castle's enchanted staff-a teapot, a candelabra and a mantel clock, among others-and ultimately learns to see beneath the Beast's exterior to discover the heart and soul of a prince.

Genre: Animation, Family, Musical, Fantasy

Critical Response : Critics loved "Beauty and the Beast" today just as much as they did back in 1991 when it was nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award, which was quite unusual for an animated feature. The magical story effectively told through the use of wonderful animation and Oscar-winning music hasn't lost its charm, but opinions have been divided regarding the 3D enhancement of the movie. Some consider it an improvement, some say it ruins it, while others simply state that it neither improves nor damages the quality of the visuals. The re-release is rated 90% on Rottentomatoes.com from 66 positive and 7 negative reviews (Average Score: 8.1 out of 10).
