In Theaters : PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 3 (2011)

Official Synopsis : The Paranormal Activity franchise continues with this third outing from Paramount Pictures. Oren Peli and Jason Blum return to produce the highly secretive feature, with Catfish's directing duo of Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman taking on the helming duties.

Genre: Horror

What to Expect : The same as parts 1 & 2, with the twist that this time around they're filming with 80's equipment. This is the analog version of "Paranormal Activity". And it's probably the first time that someone ever made a prequel to a prequel. Still, the scares are effective, if predictable, and fans of the franchise will get exactly what they want.

Critical Response : Mixed to positive. Although the critics weren't exactly thrilled about this third entry in the series, they conceded that it's still a chilling thrill-ride. Despite the flat characters and predictable scares, the movie makes for a decent Halloween treat. Rated 72% on Rottentomatoes.com from 51 positive and 20 negative reviews.
