In Theaters : ATTACK THE BLOCK (2011)

Official Synopsis : From the producers of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, Attack the Block follows a gang of tough inner-city kids who try to defend their turf against an invasion of savage alien creatures, turning a South London apartment complex into an extraterrestrial warzone. -- (C) Sony Pictures

Genre: Comedy, Horror, Sci-Fi, Adventure

What to Expect : Dark british comedy that gives the alien invasion genre a wink and a nudge. Never mind brainless gung-ho flicks like "Battle Los Angeles", this is where the action's at. What else can you expect from the team that brought us such classic genre-breakers as "Shaun of the Dead" and "Hot Fuzz" ?

Critical Response : Excellent. Critics loved the dark humor and rowdy energy and praised director Joe Cornish for his unique blend of sci-fi and comedy. Some even compared it to John Carpenter's classic "Assault On Precinct 13". Rated 89% positive on "Rottentomatoes.com from 71 positive and 9 negative reviews. Limited Release.
