"The Morrigan" is an Irish folk horror film written and directed by Colum Eastwood ("Black Medicine"). The film tells the story of an archaeologist (Saffron Burrows) in Ireland who must save her teenage daughter from possession by an ancient, vengeful Pagan War Goddess. The cast also includes James Cosmo, Toby Stephens, Antonia Campbell-Hughes, Art Parkinson, Michael Shea and Emily Flain. "The Morrigan" was released via streaming on February 3, 2026.

"On a remote Irish island, archaeologist Fiona unearths a burial casket containing a mummified figure, unknowingly unleashing an ancient evil that threatens her and her rebellious daughter, Lily. After a tense encounter with Fiona’s boss, Lily becomes drawn to the casket and breaks its seal, releasing The Morrigan - a vengeful Pagan war goddess imprisoned centuries ago for slaughtering her own followers. As a violent storm cuts off the island, Lily, now possessed, embarks on a brutal killing spree. With the body count climbing, Father Crowley, a local priest, attempts a desperate exorcism that ends in disaster. Trapped, betrayed, and hunted by the entity her discovery awakened, Fiona must confront The Morrigan’s wrath to save her daughter and end the terror once and for all."
