Directed by Ted Post (Hang 'Em High, Magnum Force, Beneath the Planet of the Apes), the film blends classic frontier grit with the outlaw charisma of four music icons who lived as boldly as the characters they portray. Supporting performances deepen the journey: June Carter Cash (The Last Days of Frank and Jesse James, The Apostle) brings resilience; Elizabeth Ashley (Happiness, The Carpetbaggers, Evening Shade) adds complexity; and Anthony Newley (Doctor Dolittle, Can Hieronymus Merkin Ever Forget Mercy Humppe and Find True Happiness?, Oliver Twist) delivers dramatic weight.
