Produced by James and featuring an all-star lineup including Ben Wendel, Takuya Kuroda and BIG YUKI, “Revenge of The Dragon” searches through the streets of New York, LA and Tokyo to find the perfect gritty slice of late 70’s jazz. A celebration of the year of his birth, the insatiable musical omnivore James pulls from the catalog of the Rolling Stones, Rod Temperton, the Bee Gees and Herbie Hancock placing these gems next to four outstanding originals. Enlisting the writing efforts of Grammy nominated songwriters Kaveh Rastergar and Talia Billig, this is one of James’ strongest and most fascinating works to date. This 180 gram vinyl features gatefold packaging, artwork by Hayden Miller and photos by Janette Beckman. Mastered and pressed to vinyl by Frank Arkwright at Abbey Road Studios, London.
