Being Maria (March 21, 2025 - US theaters)

JUMP BACK TO TOP

Synopsis:

"Maria Schneider (Anamaria Vartolomei, Happening) is a promising, young French actress. When she gets the lead in a feature film directed by an acclaimed Italian filmmaker and starring one of America’s most beloved actors, it seems like the opportunity of a lifetime. Her collaborators, director Bernardo Bertolucci and star Marlon Brando (Matt Dillon) seem to be bringing out the best in Maria, sharing a warm rapport and mentorship with the 19-year old girl. Until one day, when the two men conspire to shoot a crucial sex scene as a harrowing assault without letting Maria in on the plan. The film goes on to be lauded as a fearless artistic breakthrough, but for Maria, it’s the beginning of a living hell. Based on the behind-the-scenes true story of the making of Last Tango in Paris, Jessica Palud’s sensitive biopic centers Maria’s story for the first time."

Oh My Goodness! (March 14, 2025 - UK theaters)

JUMP BACK TO TOP

Synopsis:

"Tull Stories is excited to announce the launch of their new Joy of Cinema strand with the laugh-out-loud French comedy Oh My Goodness!. The film will be rolling into UK cinemas from 14th March.

Oh My Goodness! (Juste Ciel!) features a stellar, eccentric cast of Valérie Bonneton (Little White Lies, Summer Hours, Fais pas ci, fais pas ça), Camille Chamoux (Studio Bagel, Les gazelles, Love is Dead), Claire Nadeau (J'étais à ça, Nelly & Monsier Arnaud), Guilaine Londez (Benedetta, Mrs Harris Goes to Paris), Sidse Babett Knudsen (Borgen, Prime Target, Westworld), Louise Malek (Skam France), François Morel (Footnotes, Les vivants et les morts) and Jean-Michel Lahmi (Priceless, Follow).

When the local nursing home finds itself in dire straits and in danger of falling to pieces, it’s down to Mother Veronique (Valérie Bonneton) and the five eccentric sisters of the convent of St. Benedict to find a way to help. Spotting a poster for a bike race with a €25,000 cash prize (and the incentive of a trip to the Vatican for the winner!), the sisters might just have their answer.

The only drawback is that they are terrible cyclists, and their rival convent, led by Mother Veronique’s childhood rival Mother Josephine (Sidse Babett Knudsen), have their own plans for the prize money - and just a little more experience…but God works in mysterious ways.

Fun and frothy, director Laurent Tirard's (The Speech, Call My Agent!) hilariously absurd comedy will have you rolling in the aisles. The stunning landscapes of France’s Jura region provides a beautiful backdrop too!

Written by Cécile Larripa & Philippe Pinel (Last Call, Artem silendi), the film is a co-production between Les Films sur Mesure, Le Pacte and M6 Films."
