New Trailers: THE BALLAD OF WALLIS ISLAND, THE PARENTING, DARKEST MIRIAM, FEAR STREET: PROM QUEEN, CONTROL FREAK and GRAND TOUR

The Ballad Of Wallis Island Trailer

Today we have new trailers for:
  • The British dramedy "The Ballad of Wallis Island" starring Tom Basden, Tim Key and Carey Mulligan. Basden and Key co-wrote the film, which is directed by James Griffiths ("Bad Sisters").
  • The horror film "The Parenting" directed by Craig Johnson ("The Skeleton Twins") and starring Nik Dodani, Brandon Flynn, Brian Cox, Edie Falco, Lisa Kudrow, Parker Posey, Vivian Bang and Dean Norris.
  • The quirky indie drama "Darkest Miriam" executive produced by Charlie Kaufman ("Adaptation", "Anomalisa") and written/directed by Naomi Jaye based on the novel "The Incident Report" by Martha Baillie. The film stars Britt Lower ("Severance"), Tom Mercier, Sook-Yin Lee and Jean Yoon.
  • Netflix's "Fear Street: Prom Queen" written and directed by Matt Palmer ("Calibre"). The cast features India Fowler, Suzanna Son, Fina Strazza, David Iacono, Ella Rubin, Chris Klein, Ariana Greenblatt, Lili Taylor and Katherine Waterston.
  • The body horror thriller "Control Freak" starring Kelly Marie Tran ("Star Wars: The Last Jedi"). The film is written and directed by Shal Ngo and it's inspired by Ngo's own horror short "Control", which was featured in Season 2 of Hulu's horror anthology series "Bite Size Halloween".
  • The historical drama "Grand Tour" from acclaimed Portuguese filmmaker Miguel Gomes ("Arabian Nights", "Tabu"). The film won the Best Director award at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, and was also nominated for the Palme d'Or.

"The Ballad of Wallis Island follows Charles (Tim Key), an eccentric lottery winner who lives alone on a remote island and dreams of getting his favorite musicians, Mortimer-McGwyer (Carey Mulligan and Tom Basden) back together. His fantasy quickly turns into reality when the bandmates and former lovers accept his invitation to play a private show at his home on Wallis Island. Old tensions resurface as Charles tries desperately to salvage his dream gig."
