BEEF Season 2 Casts Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Charles Melton and Cailee Spaeny

Oscar Isaac Carey Mulligan Charles Melton Cailee Spaeny Join Beef Season 2

The second season of "Beef" is moving forward at Netflix, and Oscar Isaac ("Dune"), Carey Mulligan ("Promising Young Woman"), Charles Melton ("May December"), and Cailee Spaeny ("Alien: Romulus") have joined the cast. The official logline for the new season states: "A young couple witnesses an alarming fight between their boss and his wife, triggering chess moves of favors and coercion in the elitist world of a country club and its Korean billionaire owner"

The new season will consist of eight 30-minute episodes (down from 10 for season one). Oscar winner Youn Yuh-jung ("Minari") has also signed on to the cast. Roles for each of the actors are not being revealed yet. Lee Sung Jin returns as creator, showrunner, and executive producer. Steven Yeun, Ali Wong and Jake Schreier also executive produce. A24 is the studio.

A second season has been in the works for some time, following the first season's strong showing at the 2023 Emmys where it won eight awards, including best limited/anthology series, acting trophies for leads Wong and Yeun, and writing and directing statues for Jin. Isaac and Mulligan were in negotiations to star in season two during the summer.

Isaac is also set to star in the vampire thriller "Flesh of the Gods" opposite Kristen Stewart, and will play the title role in Guillermo del Toro's "Frankenstein".
