"Poor Things" is a dark fantasy comedy directed by Yorgos Lanthimos ("The Favourite") from a script by Tony McNamara based on the 1992 novel of the same name by Alasdair Gray. The cast features Emma Stone, Mark Ruffalo, Willem Dafoe, Ramy Youssef, Christopher Abbott and Jerrod Carmichael. The film premiered at the 80th Venice International Film Festival where it won the Golden Lion. It was released in theaters on December 8, 2023.

"From filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos and producer Emma Stone comes the incredible tale and fantastical evolution of Bella Baxter (Stone), a young woman brought back to life by the brilliant and unorthodox scientist Dr. Godwin Baxter (Willem Dafoe).
