"Next Goal Wins" is a biographical sports dramedy directed by Taika Waititi ("Jojo Rabbit") from a script he co-wrote alongside Iain Morris based on the 2014 documentary of the same name. The cast includes Michael Fassbender, Oscar Kightley, Kaimana, David Fane, Rachel House, Beulah Koale, Will Arnett, Elisabeth Moss, Kaitlyn Dever, Luke Hemsworth and Uli Latukefu. The film premiered at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival and was released in theaters on November 17, 2023.
