Product Description: In 1939, young actress Felicja (Barbara Krafftówna) was poised to make her Warsaw stage debut as Ophelia opposite the man she was infatuated with-pretentious actor Wiktor Rawiczile (Zbigniew Cybulski)-when the German tanks rolled in. Choosing to waitress over performing for occupiers, she'd give shelter to Wiktor after he's accused of killing a collaborator... with disastrous personal results. Wojciech Has' affecting tale co-stars Artur Mlodnicki.
