Oscar winners Angelina Jolie and Halle Berry are set to star in the action thriller "Maude v Maude" from Warner Bros. The film will be directed by New Zealander Roseanne Liang ("Shadow in the Cloud") from a script by Scott Mosier ("Clerks"). Berry and Jolie will also produce, while Mosier and Liang will serve as executive producers.
The film's plot is being kept under wraps, but it has been described as a globetrotting "Bond vs. Bourne" type of action film. The package was released on the market over the weekend, and was soon picked up by Warner Bros in an aggresive bid.
Berry is currently filming the Lionsgate horror film "Never Let Go", which is directed by Alex Aja, and is also attached to star in the sci-fi adventure "The Mothership". Jolie is next set to star in Pablo Larrain's biopic "Maria", which focuses on opera singer Maria Callas.
