"Shantaram" is a thriller series created by Eric Warren and Steve Lightfoot based on the novel of the same name by Gregory David Roberts, which in turn was partly inspired by Roberts' own life. The show's ten episodes are directed by Justin Kurzel ("Macbeth", "Nitram") and Bharat Nalluri ("Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day", "The Man Who Invented Christmas"). The cast features Charlie Hunnam, Antonia Desplat, Fayssal Bazzi, Sujaya Dasgupta, Elham Ehsas, David Field, Rachel Kamath, Alexander Siddig, Vincent Perez and Elektra Kilbey. "Shantaram" premiered on October 14, 2022 on Apple TV+.
