"Annette is a musical drama directed by Leos Carax in his English-language debut, from a script by Ron Mael and Russell Mael (of Sparks). The cast includes Adam Driver, Marion Cotillard and Simon Helberg. The film premiered as the opening night film at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival, where it won two awards (Best Director and Composer), and was nominated for the Palme d'Or. In the U.S., it was released in select theaters on August 6, 2021, and via streaming on August 20th on Amazon Prime Video.
