Product Description: Imperium Droop debuts the collaboration between two mavericks committed to exploring new avenues of musical expression. Kid Millions' (John Colpitts) tireless rhythms, subtle gestures mirror Jan St. Werner's boundless textural palette, creating joyful and exhilarating forays into the unknown. Millions, one of the most sought-after drummers and improvisers in NYC, is known for expansive solo work as Man Forever, and collaborations and performances with Laurie Anderson, Philip Glass, Boredoms, and So Percussion. Millions' acclaim is equally rooted in work with rock bands such as Royal Trux and Spiritualized & his own Oneida. St. Werner's consistently at the vanguard of electronic music as half of Mouse On Mars, in addition to his solo work and collaborations with The Fall's Mark E Smith, Oval's Markus Popp, Stereolab, and The National. Featuring guests Mats Gustafsson, Andrew Barker, and Richard Hoffman, the duo created a collection of beautiful pieces built on surprising sound combinations.
