"The War with Grandpa" is a family comedy directed by Tim Hill ("The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run", "Alvin and the Chipmunks") from a script by Tom J. Astle & Matt Ember ("Get Smart") based on the book of the same name by Robert Kimmel Smith.

The film follows the conflict between a boy (Oakes Fegley) and his grandfather (Robert De Niro) after they end up sharing the boy's room. The cast also includes Uma Thurman, Rob Riggle, Laura Marano, Cheech Marin, Christopher Walken and Jane Seymour.

"The War with Grandpa" was released in theaters on October 9, 2020.

"Peter and his grandpa used to be very close, but when Grandpa Jack moves in with the family, Peter is forced to give up his most prized possession: his bedroom. Peter will stop at nothing to get his room back, scheming with friends to devise a series of pranks to drive him out. However, grandpa doesn't give up easily, and it turns into an all-out war between the two."
