Jim Kimmerlee (Fonda) just wanted to make an honest living off of the rich Alaskan salmon fisheries. Beautifully shot in glorious black-and-white by Charles Lang (A Farewell to Arms) with a memorable score by Dimitri Tiomkin (Rio Bravo).
