"Snowpiercer" is a post-apocalyptic thriller series created by Graeme Manson ("Cube", "Orphan Black") based on the 2013 South Korean cult sci-fi film of the same name directed by Bong Joon-ho ("Parasite"), which in turn was an adaptation of the 1982 French graphic novel "Le Transperceneige".

A reboot of the film's plot, the show is set seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland, and it centers on the remnants of humanity, who inhabit a gigantic, perpetually-moving train that circles the globe. It explores topics such as class warfare, social injustice, and the politics of survival. The cast features Daveed Diggs, Jennifer Connelly, Mickey Sumner, Annalise Basso, Sheila Vand, Sasha Frolova, Alison Wright, Benjamin Haigh and Roberto Urbina.

The series has already been renewed for a second season that will star Sean Bean, Rowan Blanchard and Steven Ogg

"Snowpiercer" has premiered on May 17, 2020 on TNT.

"TNT's post-apocalyptic sci-fi series Snowpiercer will premiere Sunday, May 31, at 9:00pm ET/PT. Based on the critically acclaimed graphic novel series and the film from Golden Globe® Award winner Bong Joon Ho (Parasite), the new series stars Oscar® winner Jennifer Connelly (A Beautiful Mind) and Tony Award® winner Daveed Diggs.

Set more than seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland, Snowpiercer centers on the remnants of humanity who inhabit a perpetually moving train, with 1001 cars, that circles the globe. Class warfare, social injustice and the politics of survival play out in this riveting television adaptation.

In addition to Connelly and Diggs, season one of this gripping, futuristic thriller stars Emmy® nominee Alison Wright, Mickey Sumner, Susan Park, Iddo Goldberg, Katie McGuinness, Tony Award® winner and Grammy® nominee Lena Hall, Annalise Basso, Sam Otto, Roberto Urbina, Sheila Vand and Jaylin Fletcher.
