in-theaters-it-chapter-two

The only new wide release this week is the Stephen King movie "It Chapter Two", a sequel to Warner Bros' 2017 hit horror film "It", which grossed $700.3 million worldwide. The final chapter is also expected to perform well, and perhaps even break some more records.

It has already delivered $10.5 million from Thursday night previews, slightly behind the $13.5 million of the first film, but still on track for a $100+ million opening weekend. Its predecessor opened with a record-breaking $123.4 million in 2017.

"It Chapter Two" opened in a record 4,570 locations, the widest ever release for an R-rated film. The film received a "B+" from CinemaScore's opening night polls.

Synopses, details, critical/audience reception, trailers, and more after the jump.

However, kids are disappearing again, so Mike, the only one of the group to remain in their hometown, calls the others home.
